Refund of Cash Deposit

A cash deposit will be refunded in the name of the person to whom the receipt was issued to, after the applicant’s departure from South Africa or upon the issuance of permanent residence permit in South Africa.

No interest and no partial refund is made. A request for the refund must be submitted with the original receipt and passport(s). Please download the request form(Click here) .

It is suggested that you contact the Consular Section before visiting the Embassy. The applicants may make use of secured courier services/ registered mail to request a refund. The Embassy will not be responsible for any lost/ damaged/ delayed documents.
