 HOW TO APPLY FOR A KOREAN DRIVER'S LICENCE |

A holder of a South African driver’s license can apply for a Korean driver’s licence whilst in the country. For more information in this regard, please contact directly the Korean Driver's Licence Office near your place of residence. For further information you may visit their website at : http://dl.koroad.or.kr/english/index.jsp The other requirement that they may need is a certified copy of your originals South African driver’s licence by the Embassy in Seoul. You may mail your original driver’s licence to the Embassy together with your written request and a pre-paid self-addressed envelope in order to return your documents after processing. | KOREAN INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENCE: |
|||
International driver's licence is an internationally recognized translation of your domestic driver's licence. It must be accompanied by your driver’s licence when traveling. In case of foreigners, only those who have resided for more than 3 years in Korea can get an international driver's license. However, those whose visa status are D-5, D-6, D-7, D-8, E-1, E-3, E-4, E-7, F-1, F-2, F-3 and F-4 can get an international driver's licence regardless of the length of their stay in Korea. |
